Student Counselling and Assessment Center (SCAC)

The Student Counseling and Assessment Center (SCAC) offers free, confidential, and short-term psychological counseling to currently enrolled students, alumni and staff. We also provide a variety of workshops, mental health training, and helpful resources to support overall well-being.

Privacy

We adhere to the American Psychological Association’s (APA) ethical standards on privacy and confidentiality. We ensure that all personal information and discussions during counseling are kept strictly confidential. Information is only shared with consent, or in exceptional cases, such as when there is a risk of harm to the individual or others, as mandated by law.

Referrals

The counselor can refer a student to external specialists for:

– Emergency or crisis interventions.

– Situations where counseling is not the most suitable service based on the student’s needs.
