Our Team

Head Carbs Policy Lab, Associate Professor

The CARBS Policy Lab is led by Dr. Mahwish Zafar, Associate Professor of Economics at Superior University, Pakistan. Dr. Zafar is an accomplished economist, policy researcher, and public policy trainer with over 16 years of teaching and research experience. She holds a PhD in Economics and has an extensive publication portfolio in national and international journals, including Scopus and Web of Science indexed outlets. As Head of the CARBS Policy Lab, Dr. Zafar provides strategic direction to the Lab's research agenda, oversees policy engagement activities, cultivates national and international collaborations, and mentors emerging researchers in producing impactful, evidence-based policy work. Under her leadership, the Lab seeks to establish itself as a premier platform for advancing innovative policy solutions that support inclusive and sustainable development in Pakistan and beyond.

Policy Research Fellow

Faizan Butt is an academic, researcher, and former broadcast journalist serving as a Lecturer at the School of Media Studies, Superior University. Integrating extensive live broadcast experience across news, sports, and current affairs into higher education, he teaches and conducts research in visual storytelling, audience engagement, and public discourse. In his capacity at the CARBS Policy Lab, Faizan drives evidence-informed policy research and strategic stakeholder engagement. He translates empirical insights and operational experience into actionable policy frameworks, consulting with venture capitalists and partnering with decision-makers to strengthen public governance, guide institutional strategy, and address complex socio-economic challenges. She analyzes complex behavioral metrics and field data to evaluate organizational frameworks, bridging academic research with institutional governance to advance evidence-informed policymaking and workplace reform

Policy Research Fellow

Natasha Saman Elahi is an academic scholar of organizational psychology and human behavior, serving as a Research Associate at the Chaudhry Abdul Rehman Business School (CARBS), Superior University. Her research portfolio explores thriving at work, workplace well-being, leadership dynamics, and employee engagement within contemporary organizational settings. She actively contributes to global academic discourse, publishing and presenting empirical research on workplace dynamics. At the CARBS Policy Lab, Natasha leads the integration of empirical scholarship into high-level policy mechanisms and strategic guidance. She analyzes complex behavioral metrics and field data to evaluate organizational frameworks, bridging academic research with institutional governance to advance evidence-informed policymaking and workplace reform

Policy Research Fellow

Nida Rasheed is an academic, researcher, and Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, Superior University. Her professional experience spans academia, institutional administration, and the hospitality sector, where she served as a Marketing and Relationship Executive. She has also worked as an Assistant Registrar at the Lahore School of Economics, gaining valuable experience in academic administration, stakeholder coordination, and institutional operations. As a Policy Analyst at the CARBS Policy Lab, Nida contributes to evidence-informed policy research, strategic analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Drawing on her interdisciplinary academic and professional experience, she examines organizational, economic, and socio-institutional challenges and translates research insights into practical policy recommendations. Her work focuses on supporting effective decision-making, strengthening institutional capacity, and developing strategic approaches to complex socio-economic issues.
